Paired to some else’s Apple ID. :::UPDATED:::
I pulled the AirPod Max out of their oddly shaped cover and they automatically tried to connect to my phone, but I was immediately greeted with this message “The owner of this item will be able to see its location.You are connecting to an item that’spaired to someone else’s Apple ID.”The headphones are in excellent shape and I don’t see a single blemish. The noise cancellation and spatial audio work amazingly well, but I’m definitely not going to connect them to my phone with them being traceable and no way of removing it without contacting whoever owned them previously. I feel like this should be one of the very first things they check for when receiving a return product for refurbishment. 1 star for now, will update review when I get a pair that doesn’t belong to someone else.:::UPDATE:::I left a message with customer service and was called back the next day. They told me how to factory reset the headphones [hold the Digital Crown and the spatial audio button down simultaneously for 15 seconds until the LED flashes amber then white] and it paired to my Apple ID and was no longer associated with someone else’s. Wow, that was easy. Great product and great customer service experience. Would have been nice to not have to deal with that scary experience, but it all worked out well!

You can get a great pair for $369.
I had been looking for the AirPods Max for a while, often comparing them with the Sony XM5s. However, I saw that you could get these refurbished ones for about $369, while a new pair of Sony XM5s were at $350. Figuring the price difference was only $20 and I really wanted the transparency mode of the AirPods Max, I decided to pull the trigger at $369. When they got here, the batteries were completed uncharged and I had to do a hard reset (hold Digital Crown and mode button down together). After doing a full charge, hard reset, and physical inspection, I can tell you the pair I got were great and seemed almost brand new. I’m happy to save almost $150 from MSRP at Apple with these pair.

Exceptional
These headphones have exceptional, sound quality and connect easily to Bluetooth. What more could one ask for in a wireless headphone set?they are pricey, but there are other similar quality headphones that are pricier like the Bower and Wilkins PX8

The Noise Cancellation Alone is Worth the Money
I love these headphones 🎧. They are super comfortable and have some weight to them. AMAZING noise cancellation. I got these posey covers for mine so they don’t clank around. My one qualm is there’s no off button.

Not bad, but could be better
Firstly Salesdirect customer service sucks, I have had several issues that have taken way to long to have been resolved. Secondly delivery was a huge hassle, it took the delivery guy 3times to deliver a simple package, and it just keept saying nobody home, when that was not true. Moreover the headset turned out great however sometimes here and there the headset makes a loud banging sound without me doing anything, not a huge issues but kind of disappointing for a headset this price. And when I want to se my AirPods in the find my app it does not show up because they are Stil connected to last owners Apple ID, I tried to factory reset them wich did not help at all. Would definitely recommend buying direct from apple instead of refurbished. The little money you save is not worth it!

You get what you pay for
Top tier head phones for a top tier price. If you have an “Apple Ecosystem” and money burning a hole in your pocket then these are the headphones for you. My favorite feature is the seamlessly connectivity between Apple products. No more fiddling with Bluetooth settings when I want to switch between listening on my iPhone, iPad, or MacBook. Only downside is how heavy and clunky they are but they’re made of aluminum instead of plastic so you can’t really complain.

Can’t be beat!
So I was skeptical about the Airpod Max when they were first introduced. I couldn’t see how they would beat my Bose Quiet Comforts. I mean, Bose is one of the tops, right? Well, they were.My niece and her husband came for a visit and brought their Max’s. I swore I would never spend that much on headphones…and then I listened to theirs. OMG!! With the spacial sound recently introduced by Apple, these things are absolutely amazing! I just knew my wife wouldn’t let me order them with the hefty price tag though…then she listened to them.She had me order this pair for us to share. I get them on the weekdays at work, she gets them during her craft times at home while I tend to the kids. (So she can’t hear them)The noise cancellation is by far the best I have ever experienced. The pass thru option let’s you still hear around you if needed as well. And the sound quality, these can’t be beat. They are seriously amazing!I was concerned getting a renewed set, but for the savings I gave it a shot and I wasn’t disappointed. They’re brand new. No scratches, nothing missing from the box. No complaints at all here…other than I wish we had two pairs! 😉If you’re on the fence, order these. You won’t be disappointed!

These are spectacular and exceed expectations!
First the seller. I received a new, unopened pair of AirPods Max! Wow. The sound on these are fantastic for the price, even more so since I paid so much less for a refurbished pair. Where I was pleasantly surprised with these was on Zoom calls. I struggle to not get too loud on a Zoom call with regular headsets (I have a pair of AirPods Pro that I use). Co-workers often ask me to be quieter. In transparency mode, these headphones solve that problem given the microphones on the outside of the cups. I am able to hear both the speaker AND myself and no longer get too loud. The other issue is comfort. Reading some reviews about weight I was concerned about comfort, but the foam pads are brilliant. My ears don’t get hot at all. The mesh in the headband somehow redistributes weight. I was able to comfortably wear these for a 6 hour workshop and didn’t even have to plug them in. 100% worth it, especially when purchased as a refurbished unit.

Better than new!
This has been the best purchase I’ve made. They came in just a brown box but they look like they’ve never been used. I have bought a silicone covers for them to protect them. It was such an easy set up and they were not locked. The battery last a long time and the noise cancellation is the best.

Sleek and fun Pro Maxs
I was skeptical but I’m pleased with my AirPod Pro Maxs. The ear cushions are soft but durable as well as the mesh like headband. The ears were heavier than I expected but it was easy to get used to. The noise cancellation is solid but if you’ve experienced the AirPod Pros noise cancellation capabilities, the Maxs fall short. However the sound quality is still wonderful.Solid set of headphones for a sleek look and design in cute colors.

Literally like new!
Not going to lie and say I wasn’t nervous about making this purchase but when they came in I couldn’t be more pleased with this product! They literally look brand new and even tried connecting to my phone right away, also I got a free 6 month subscription for iTunes since I purchased these headphones as if they were bought from apple( I use Spotify) and the sound is just amazing! I’ve used them to go to sleep and just listen to the rain sounds iPhone built in and sleep so peaceful! I love these headphones! If you’re thinking about buying them do it!!!

Very good but had some little issues
I knew what I was getting into with the purse looking case and battery so everything works exactly as advertised. The only problem I notice is that sometimes I have to change the volume for it to like recalibrate and sometimes the music glitches but it’s so minimal and fixes easy.

They are the best for my use case.
I finally had a use case that I felt justified the price. I am a woodworker and like to listen to music, I had been using a speaker system that was fine, but I would often turn off my dust collection in between cuts to listen to the music. then I would forget to turn it back on. With the AirPods Max, I leave the fans running all the time. The noise cancellation is great and eliminates 99% of the fan noise. It is comfortable enough to wear for a full day in the shop and the music sounds great. If I am doing something like routing where I need to hear the bit to tell if the cut is good, I hit the button to go into transparency mode. I am sorry I waited so long to buy these, they are exactly what I needed in the shop and my lungs and ears will be forever gratefull.

Best studio or music headphones wired/wireless
I personally use these in the studio more than I actually use them with my iOS devices.I purchased the lightning to 1/8 stereo plug adapter, be careful when you get those because you do want a higher quality cable rather than an inferior one which you will pick up interference in a studio environment. The higher quality cable will have less noise interference.These are great when you’re monitoring because you could turn on noise isolation and really hear your mix, or vice versa you can turn on the “hear everything” mode and you could hear all around you in the studio by just a click of a button.They are also good with your iPhone or iPad, music sounds great, spatial audio is awesome, the bass response is tremendously well defined.If you have the budget, I would highly recommend these.

Very disappointed
The headphones were great until they suddenly just stopped working. Absolutely nothing happened to them to cause this. I even ordered a hard case to store them in when not in use.I only used these headphones during flights as I fly a lot for work. Very disappointed

Great for some people, not recommended for most
Great headphones overall. The sound stage and quality is about average for closed back headphones, however the build quality, noise cancelling, and integration with IOS is fantastic. I don’t ever have to go into my settings to connect these as when I put them on my head they are just on. I don’t even worry about the “case”.I wouldn’t recommend these to the average person. $460 is a lot for headphones and these don’t justify that price. Most people, unless you are looking for stellar noise canceling, would be just as content with sony or boses offerings.

Love it, but……
I ordered the space gray Air Pods Max and was really excited to receive the headphones before flying on a long-haul flight. I paid for space gray with black case specifically because I prefer the dark color (it hides imperfections better and doesn’t stand out quite as much). I received silver headphones instead, and while I’m glad I have them, it’s not what I paid for. I wish there was a way to quickly exchange them but I’m not sure that I would receive the correct product in time for my trip unfortunately.

The one I got was a almost brand new condition with no scratches, not even minimal marks on the headphone.Issues: Has to do a hard reset before use.Included accessories: Generic charger and MFI certified third party usb A to Lightning cable is included.

Amazing.
Fantastic sound. Better than any other headphone ive used. I love the NC and transparent features.The spatial sounds while watching a movie were rather mind blowing, isnt as impactful for music.The cell convos are clear too, great microphone as well.I dont have any problems with the case. I find it easy and compact.Down sides:expensive, refurbed saved money and worked great.It Doesnt like sweat. I bought silicone covers for the ear pads and they definitely worked to waterproof. The pads are magnetic and pop out easy to air dry too when I dont have covers on; this feature is actually an advantage others dont have.Refurb was only black and I wanted color. A cool glow in the dark cover worked great for me. Protective and bright, also changeable.They are heavy which has only been an issue when laying down to listen, they want to slide back on me. I can make it work. I have no other fit issues they are otherwise staying put, easily adjusted and quite comfortable.I love them! No regrets.

I’ve had these for a couple months now
These have given me no issues so far. I bought them refurbished and there was pretty much nothing wrong with them other than the tinniest scratch but you would really have to look and use to flashlight to see it. Mine didn’t come in the original box but I did get a charger and the original case for the max’s. I absolutely love the noise canceling since I’m a dog trainer and it gets pretty loud and annoying if there’s consistent barking. They sound great too! I’ve ordered protective cases for the outside and covers for the earmuffs since they do get hot from the fabric. That’s the only downside.

It’s so worth it!
Totally go for it! My AirPod maxes came out looking brand new and they work perfectly. Granted, you don’t get the original box from Apple, but it’s still an apple product and you’re saving $100+! If you go for a brand new one, trust me, you’re wasting $$$ when this deal exists. 10/10!

Great Headphones, No charging cable.
Even though the headphones work great, they did come with two minor scratches even though the description was excellent condition but that wasn’t really an issue. The problem I found is they did not include a charging lightning to USB-C cable that is bundled together with the headphones and the smart case in the original apple box.

Worth it 100%
10/10 they are not like new, they are new. Even the distinct smell it has tells you they are knew. The noise cancellation and battery life are in perfect conditions. Head up, the box can be a little mistreated, but the inside is what matters. Buy this before paying the 600 dollars. If you don’t like it return them but at least for me it is a keep!!!!!

Great purchase besides one thing…
The headphones are in perfect condition and sound great. However, the original owner of the headphones can track my location of the headphones. This is the only downside of purchasing them refurbished. I am sure there is a way to remove the location from their device.

I love this Apple product but out at of all the videos I watched no one told me how tight fitted the headphones were I mean it was so tight I started to get tension headaches so I really wanted to keep it but the fix and price was to high to do that!

Doesn’t come in original box
Although I was pretty upset that this didn’t come in the original box at first, it still is absolutely amazing and I couldn’t tell at all that it was used. Everything is in amazing condition, with no scratches or loss of color in places. The headband is also perfect and doesn’t have any discoloration or dents. The battery life is amazing as well and I definitely reccomend it if you don’t want to spend over 500$ on new ones. ( if you think the case is weird and impractical, you can get one from Salesdirect to come with it)

Amazing quality, outstanding noise cancellation, basically brand new
These ‘renewed’ AirPods Max are basically new. As you can see in the pictures, the headphones are shipped in generic packaging with a generic lightning charging cable. There is zero evidence of wear on the headphones. I have zero regrets getting these ‘renewed’ at a significant discount to the original price. It also comes with the original AirPods Max Case, but it’s absolute garbage, so I would opt for a 3rd party case.The sound quality is fantastic for wireless headphones. Exceptionally clear for music, TV, or podcasts (almost no distortion). Great balance for sound for most of the sound frequency range. If you don’t find the profile perfect, you can use an equalizer. These headphones are heavy, but that’s due to the exceptional build quality. I have worn these for 6-8 hours without any discomfort–the headband helps with minimizing the impact of the weight. The Apple features are great–transparency mode feels like there’s no headphones on, I can hear everything. Noise cancelling is amazing–almost completely blocks out a crying baby, fan, or conversations. Easy to switch between modes with button on the right can. The crown is great for sound controls and volume.I highly recommend getting these renewed.
